London is to play host to the 30th Olympiad come 2012, and it plans to stage the games for about half the $40bn the Chinese spent. In acknowledging that the Chinese act will be a tough one to follow, the British press is already calling for an event that relies on wit, flair and quirkiness, rather than the grandiose spectacle that was the Beijing Olympics. Al Jazeera's Carrie Brown reports.
