Equestrian

Back

Equestrian Equestrian events were included in the Olympic Games for the first time in 1900 and then in 1912, in a format very similar to that which was used at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games. Equestrian consists of three disciplines: Jumping, Dressage and Eventing (Three-Day Event). On the programme of the Games of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, there are 6 events. The equestrian events of the 29th Olympic Games will be held in Hong Kong, China from August 9-20. The jumping and dressage events will be held at the main venue in Shatin and the cross country competition will be held at Beas River. The Equestrian is the development of the horse into a happy athlete through education. As a result, it makes the horse calm, and flexible, but also confident, attentive and keen, thus achieving perfect understanding with his rider.
