What a beautiful episode. I have many friends in the Deaf community and was touched by the show. Unlike what Ty said, I'm sure there are more families out there like the Vardons who have similar struggles taking care of a blind, autistic child. I hope this episode raised awareness about all different kinds of families. My only caveat is that I wish ABC would have thought to provide the family an interpreter so their son could just enjoy the moment, instead of having to "work."

This video gives me so much feelings about my family, Ty Pennington and the other people around it's just amazing human! This video is totaly lovely and just amazing, such a beautiful family. I know how it's like for them, becuse my family are the same. My mom is deaf, my dad is deaf, my tween-brother is blind and autistic. Im totaly healty and i'm not deaf at all but is really, really hard.
