It is one thing to question why the US ever accepts a dictator as a partner. FM said communism were threatening the Phil, that he needed martial law to defeat them. He knew this cry would appeal to washington, even though it had little, if any, foundation on reality. Sadly, US officials exaggerated the "breakdown of law & order" in the Phil to protect of course their main interest - SUBIC and CLARK, strategic military bases in Asia to prevent the Red army from flexing their muscles.

sa tingin ko.. parehas din ng nangyayare ngayon, s kasalukuyan, nag uunahan nag sisiraan nag papatayan para makamit ang isang pwesto na hinahangad upang mag karuon ng kapangyarihan, at pag nakamit na ang kapangyarihang iyon, lahat na ng kaganiran ng isang pag katao ay gagawin na... sa tingin ko si marcos ay biktima ng mga taong nag hahangad ng posisyon na, hindi rin natin alam baka dalawa sila ni ninoy ang biktima.. ramos is the brain bwahahahahahahahahahah yan ang tingin ko lang:-)

Utak-biya lang yang plemang kori akino na yan. Ano ang nangyari sa inutil na people power na yan. Until now we have the age old problems with us. There are many problems that a rally of idiots can do for a "people power" whose only purpose is to address the comeback of a bourgeois democracy. After 20 years there is little or nothing to call progress as compared to marcos achievements and perks for the national bourgeoisie. Self-styled inter-classist people powers are the opium of the "masses"
