Sure hope Rose Hill Drive do this in Boulder on December 30 and 31 2009!

I love seeing videos of the Vietnam war with old songs dubbed over them, this time was Epic WIN!

Here's another. You'd be surprised about how many rock stars who sit in their rooms, listening to, say, Beethoven, or, say, Mahler.

All I was trying to say was that classical music has an incredible soul that should not be missed out on. Just trying to goad people into giving it a try. It takes patience. But yeah, Funk's got lots of rock n roll soul. They should be in the rock n roll hall of fame.

How you doing, xcheario978x? You like Grand Funk, too? I love them. My little girl, too. But even if you don't, I can still respect your taste for something else different. Hey, come on, shake my hand and be a man.

The main reason PackedFunk has this channel is to promote Mark Farner & Grand Funk Railroad music. Please sign the online petition included in each video's description to induct GFRxR into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame.

Great video! You're right, HD8EVO, GFR were as hard rock as anything out there. The abomination that was Tull winning the 1st Grammy for metal seems to have started a wave of metalhead, genre-snob "That's not metal" inspections which, for some reason, Black Sabbath is the only band from the late 60s/early 70s who is allowed to pass. Aside from jazz, whenever possible, the American artist (GFR, MC5, Blue Cheer, etc.) is denied credit for being the innovator. GFR RULES!

True top band in the country by New York Daily News Nationwide Readers' Poll for 1971 but DO YAH THINK the immense billboard over Time Square and New York Daily news being a NY paper may have had a bit of influence? Now relative obscurity. I loved GFR, my #1 fave in '71.
