Wow! What a great version of this song! Amazing drums of course, but the piano comping and the sax on that sax solo are amazing!

Love Mongo, grew up listing to him, he was one of my mentors.When I was a kid I wanted to play the conga's like him. We use to see him at the California club in LA when he was playing with Cal Jader and Willie Bobo it was the best.One of the best solo's I think Mongo played was Afro Blue with Cal Jader Hard to find.God Bless You Mongo where ever you are.

Mongo was the greatest! I was so fortunate to have had the privilage of making his last 3 red congas after his was stolen, that I'm honored. Poncho has a set, and there was over 200 of my drums made. But the Santamarias Cuban style Congas ( I'm the only one he gave permission to use his name, thanks to my friend, Ramon Pacheco from Denver. Wow, He was great. And beleive me it wasn't the drums it was him. Jose Garcia
