they dont usually attack anything much bigger than itself unless threatened, and they are not venomous however leave a nasty wound if they bite you.

Wow looks like these dudes (camel spiders) had a fuckload of myths going on about them XD
What's next? US soldiers in Iraq seeing camel spiders measuring 5 meters long and 2 high being used as mounts by enemy soldiers??
All bullshit aside.
Are they aggresive? The will obviously bite if you harrass them but what if you just extend your hand? (Like handling tarantulas)

Oh well even though if I was at the desert and see a little thingy on the floor running towards me I would at least be like "WHAT THE SHELL?" and then "oh.. okay, it's just a camel spider looking for shade".
Just ignore the rumor-spreading pricks, until they get the experience of not-being attacked by a running camel spider they will realize what bullshit they were spreading ;)

When a camel spider stays under your shadow that means it dosent want to be in the sun. it wont attack you so its ok. it just hates the sun
gaurdian3012 (January 1st, 2009 @ 5:50 am)
when it runs under your shadow it ussualy will follow you and will burrow under it when you stop but i would not be suprised if it did attack
